Frequently Asked Questions
-
Maybe. While I would love for everyone to be in therapy, it is not always practical, affordable, or accessible. If you are unsure, I would ask you these questions:
Do you have the time commitment (~1 hour per week for sessions)?
Are you ready to make a lifestyle change?
Do you have the financial flexibility to go to therapy?
What has changed for you that makes therapy more palatable now?
Are you ready to be the best version of yourself?
I do not think you have to answer yes to every one of these items, but I think it is good for everyone to consider. Therapy is what YOU make it. I will help guide you and provide you with the knowledge and tools, but you have to be the one to make the lasting change.

I won’t take offense! I am not everyone’s cup of tea and that is completely fine. It is important that you trust and feel comfortable with your therapist - treatment will not progress without these things!
If you do not feel comfortable with me or if our personalities do not click, I will provide you with referrals and/or will assist to transition you to a Clinician that fits your needs better.

Yes, though there are a few exceptions:
If there is imminent danger to yourself or others.
If I suspect abuse.
I do not bill insurance so your medical file will be for your records (and mine) only.
